Membership
There shall be 2 (two) types of membership:
A. General Membership (GM)
B. Associate Membership AM)
A.1 General Membership GM):
The General Membership in the Association shall be open to any Canada resident, of at least 18 years of age and who/who’s parent(s) is a resident of Greater Dhaka Zilla (present districts of Dhaka, Gazipur, Naryangonj, Munshigonj, Narsingdi and Manikgonj) by Origin and agrees to abide by Association’s Constitution and By-Laws.
A.2 General Founder Member (GFM):
A person who met all requirements of A.1 involved directly in establishing the Association’s and has paid a minimum amount of CDN$ 100/= to the Association is eligible to be a general founder member. Founder member does not need to renew membership.
A.3 General Life Member (GLM):
A person who met all requirements of A.1 and willing to contribute to the fund of the Association a minimum amount of CDN$ 300/= within a year, is eligible to be a general life member. General Life Member does not need to renew membership.
A.4 –Eligible individuals as per A.1 – A.3 must submit the prescribed application form after duly fill-it-up to the Executive Committee for approval.
A.5 – A General Member/General Founder Member/General Life Member has the right to participate in all activities of the Association. Also he/she has the right to compete, propose, support or vote for any Executive position during the Election of the Association.
A.6 – Membership (general/founder/life) shall be revoked if a member acts against the Association’s objectives.
A.4 –Eligible individuals as per A.1 – A.3 must submit the prescribed application form after duly fill-it-up to the Executive Committee for approval.
A.5 – A General Member/General Founder Member/General Life Member has the right to participate in all activities of the Association. Also he/she has the right to compete, propose, support or vote for any Executive position during the Election of the Association.
A.6 – Membership (general/founder/life) shall be revoked if a member acts against the Association’s objectives.
B.1 Associate Membership (AM):
The Associate Membership in the Association shall be open to any Canada resident, of at least 18 years of age and who/who’s parent(s) is migrated resident of Greater Dhaka Zilla but not by Origin and agrees to abide by Association’s Constitution and By-Laws.
B.2 – Associate Founder Member (AFM): A person who met all requirements of B.1 involved directly in establishing the Association and has paid a minimum amount of CDN$ 100/= to the Association is eligible to be an associate founder member. Associate founder member does not need to renew membership.
Page 3 B.3 – Associate Life Member (ALM): A person who met all requirements of B.1 and willing to contribute to the fund of the Association a minimum amount of CDN$ 300/= within a year, is eligible to be a general life member. General Life Member does not need to renew membership.
